What is Milo Yiannopoulos trying to say?
SLO County politics can be challenging and, at times, excruciating. Our politics is a microcosm of what’s happening on the national stage. It’s sometimes difficult to find out what the truth is — and in the process of looking, there’s resistance. Resistance comes from our own prejudices and the prejudice forced onto us by outside influences. This heated political climate makes it difficult to understand or even appreciate opposing viewpoints.
Civility drenched in irony is not civility. If anything, it’s become a political prop devoid of value.
